伊丽莎白·米. 波伊尔
Elizabeth “Betty” 波伊尔 (1913- 2002), a 1937 graduate of Bowling Green State University, was a champion for gender equality in education and advocate in the passage of 第九条 legislation. In honor of Betty’s continued efforts to promote gender equity in education, 伊丽莎白M. 波伊尔奖 for Student Parents was initially established to support the academic achievement of student mothers at Bowling Green State University, and has since been expanded to support any full- or part-time parenting student, regardless of sex or gender identity. The 波伊尔奖 aims to assist in meeting some of the financial demands of being a parenting student.
伊丽莎白·米. 波伊尔 AWARD FOR STUDENT PARENTS
伊丽莎白M. 波伊尔奖 for Student Parents is available to full- and part-time undergraduate students maintaining a 2.5 GPA who hold primary custodial responsibility for a minor child and/or an adult child with special needs. Parenting students who meet the above-mentioned application criteria are encouraged to apply for the 伊丽莎白·米. 波伊尔奖 for Student Parents. Application materials are available within the Center for Women and Gender Equity at Bowling Green State University and comprise of an application and a narrative essay. An initial award of $1,000 will be granted based on a combination of need and application strength.
