Every year, our BGSU family comes together to support our students through 校园活动. BGSU is known for its commitment to helping students succeed both within and beyond the classroom. As today’s students face an increasingly complex and competitive world, it is imperative that BGSU continues to provide diverse activities, 创新学术项目, and a dynamic mix of learning opportunities to position our students as tomorrow’s leaders.
BGSU校园运动, a University-wide effort to support institutional initiatives, 提供参与资源, challenge and prepare students for a meaningful future. 校园活动 has raised more than $8 million during the past nine years to benefit students, 计划和倡议. 给BGSU的第一份礼物: I first gave to BGSU as part of the 校园活动 in 2012 while I was still a graduate student. Even though my contribution was small, I wanted to help my colleagues reach our collective goal of having every employee within the department participate.
Why is it important to give back to BGSU?
As dean of students, I am honored to support BGSU and our students by giving back. In fact, I make it a personal goal to participate in the annual 校园活动. As a first-generation college student, I know how important scholarships were to my ability to attend college and to get an education. I believe I now have a personal responsibility to help remove financial barriers for others individuals so that they can pursue their life dreams and aspirations.
Your gift to the BGSU 校园活动 contributes to the quality of education our students receive while sending a message to the wider community and prospective donors that faculty, 工作人员, and retirees believe in 州立鲍灵格林大学. All gifts are important and very much appreciated, especially in today’s challenging times when the University is experiencing declining state support.

校园活动 would not be as successful as it has been without the many faculty and 工作人员 volunteers across our campuses that have spread the important message of giving back to their colleagues. These volunteers help share giving opportunities and the current greatest-need funds to the colleagues in their departments several times a year. 志愿者s are accepted at any time and a brief training is provided. 校园活动 is BGSU’s annual effort to encourage all faculty, 工作人员 and retirees to support the University.
How is 校园活动 different from other fundraising efforts on campus?
校园活动 contributions are used internally for BGSU’s programs, projects and endowments. Other fundraising efforts on campus focus on external charities, like United Way. External fundraising efforts, like United Way, are separate from BGSU initiatives. Through 校园活动, you directly impact BGSU students.
When does 校园活动 begin and end?
校园活动 is a year-round effort. Any gifts made during the current fiscal year (July 1 to 6月30日) count toward the 校园活动.
How many people - faculty, 工作人员 and retirees - actually support BGSU?
In recent years, participation has ranged from 40 to 50 percent.
How much do I have to give to be a part of the 校园活动?
